"Had a great time during our August stay. We loved spending time out in the decking in the afternoon and evening taking in those gorgeous views. A gas barbecue was available to use. Luckily for us we had fantastic weather which helped but it would have been great regardless of the weather. The cottage is kitted out with everything you need. The welcome pack was a nice touch and the wheaten/soda bread was delicious! The location was a good base for drives around the area, for example Beara peninsula, Ring of Kerry,

Mizen Head and Killarney. We're already planning our next visit."

"We spent a week in Fuchsia Cottage at the beginning of August. The cottage is perfect for a family and we felt perfectly cosy and comfortable. We really appreciated the delicious gifts when we arrived as well as the gorgeous views from the terrace. The kids really enjoyed feeding all the birds that fed outside the kitchen window. Maria and Joop were always very friendly and discreet hosts. All in all, this is an excellent place to stay and we would highly recommend it."

Cottage has everything you need, very clean, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. "This was our second year in Fuchsia cottage and we had a great holiday. The house is spotless and has everything you need and more. The view from the deck cannot be described and we were lucky enough to have most of our meals out here.. Maria had made a tasty brown loaf which was demolished on arrival, they are welcoming hosts and are next door but not at all obtrusive.It’s a great location and I love that you can leave the house and walk without needing to drive anywhere."

"This cottage was one of my favourite stays anywhere in Ireland. It is actually bigger than the pictures make it seem and comfortably fit a family of 5. But the Jewel in the crown is the amazing view over Kenmare bay which no picture can do justice. A joy in the sun on the balcony but even showery weather looks impressive from inside or out.
It is also perfect location for exploring many delights of the area and the owners (Maria and Joop) who live next door could not be nicer. Will definitely be tempted to go back again next year!"

"Fuchsia Cottage is a dream! The views from the rear of the cottage are spectacular and the wildlife is amazing, we saw all types of birds and even deer in the neighbour's garden. It is so peaceful and the cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. Maria and Joop are very gracious hosts so any problems can be easily rectified. Maria even left a welcome pack of home made soda bread (delicious), a bottle of wine, milk, butter and cheese which was a lovely touch. Kenmare is a short drive of about 5 minutes or if you're feeling energetic you can walk. Kenmare itself is vibrant with lots of good pubs, restaurants and shops. The cottage is a perfect base to see the sights and surroundings of Kerry and we would highly recommend it and hope to return in the not too distant future. Thank you."

"Lovely cottage on an elevated site overlooking kenmare bay.Three good sized bedrooms, one downstairs two upstairs, large kitchen/dining room and living room with cosy fireplace. Nice bathroom upstairs with shower, WC downstairs.
Outside is a nice dining area if weather permits! Didn't for us,unfortunately. The views over the bay and beyond to the mountains are truly breathtaking.Within five minutes drive to kenmare,a very nice town with lots of restaurants and pubs to choose from.
The cottage is very conveniently placed for exploring the many places of interest Kerry has to offer.
The lovely owners ,Maria and joop live just next door for any questions you might have.They left us a very nice welcoming gift including Easter eggs which our girls very much appreciated! Overall, we had a great holiday here and would have no hesitation recommending this lovely cottage to anyone. Would love to come back ( with nicer weather! )"
